Title : Modeling the dust evolution in galaxies
The evolution of dust in galaxies is characterized by two as
pects; dust abundance and grain size distribution, both of w
hich are important in determining the radiative properties o
f galaxies through dust extinction and emission. Recently we
have been developing a theoretical framework that treats th
ese two aspects consistently. In this presentation, I introd
uce our dust evolution models. I will also talk about some p
redictions about the evolution of extinction curve, which ar
e compared with observations. Finally I also mention our pla
n of implementing our models in hydrodynamic galaxy evolutio
n simulations.
